Inno3D GeForce GTX 650 Ti Pictured

Here are some of the first pictures a partner-branded GeForce GTX 650 Ti, made by Inno3D. A member of the ChipHell.com community got early access to a card, and was quick to put it under the lens. Pictured below, Inno3D's card uses a custom-design cooler that features an easily-detachable shroud, which lets you clean the heatsink and fan. The card appears to be making use of an NVIDIA-reference (or similar) PCB design. The PCB features memory pads for a 128-bit wide memory interface, and a simpler VRM compared to the GTX 660 reference PCB, which features pads for a 192-bit wide memory interface, and a stronger VRM. No other details were revealed.

Talk about cost-cutting, it looks like NVIDIA is using an entirely new package for the GK106 with GTX 650 Ti (GK106-220).

Compare this:

To this GTX 660, (GK106-400):

Definitely a smaller package with the same die. Maybe they got rid of pins for the two unused 32-bit wide memory paths and some redundant power/ground pins.

Cutdown GK106? So how slower will it be than the 660? considering the performance of cutdown versions of GK104, i dont thin this will be much slower than the 660.. a replacement to the 560 ti maybe?

Huh?

Gtx is reserved top end Gfx, this is clearly not top end Gfx. Top end Price though. And im sure it will take a top end Idiot to buy one.

normally the GTX moniker has been associated as nvidia top end but for quite sometime the GTX is designated for nvdia mid range and above (like GTX260) and now it has been extended to their entry level line up lol. btw i don't agree about 'top end price' you mention above. 200-250 are mid range sweet spot and i assume this card will cost less than 230 (since GTX660 priced at 230). how can be pricing less than 230 considered as top end price?

Why Nvidia has undervalued both nomenclatures: Ti and GTX???
Previously these the left to the higher ranges , but now through the middle range have them!
What next? a GTX 630 Ultra?

I see no SLI header. Pffft...
Having SLI might extend the usefulness of such card for it's owners. But now, nope.

It has to be as good as a 7770 and at the same price for me to even bother considering this card?

Well according to those leaked benches over in the AT forums, looks like it's a draw or 1-2% slower than the 560 non-Ti, so never mind about that upgrade.
