Good mechanical gaming keyboards?

I have a limited budget for this purpose, but I'm so sick of poor response that I think I have to do this. I want to keep it in the realm of about 50-65 USD, but I'm not sure if that's possible.

Quite a good comparison and information on the different switches.

MX Blues are quite different, they are clicky and tactile like browns. I like Browns because the force is just right for me but i like tactile feedback. For linear switches i hear a lot of people prefer red switches to blacks as they have a lighter touch.

Dunno about your price range but QPAD, Steelseries and Corsair do some good value boards; Max Keyboard, Ducky, Zowie, Filco, Das, Deck are a little more expensive. I dont know anything about Coolermaster keyboards.

Not sure if it applies now but as i knew it Razer mechanical boards had build quality and reliability issues; they also have MX Blue switches which may be a factor in your choice.

I think this is the best one I could find at (about) my price range. Anyone own one or have experience with one?

I think loud would be preferable to the "does not respond" that I'm often faced with with my keyboard.

this looked good as well.

You have a Black Widow, not a CM Storm.

Here's the Black Widow on Newegg for less money than that Cooler Master keyboard: RAZER Black Wired BlackWidow Mechanical Gaming Key...

I remember seeing your thread and wanted to mention the CM Storm Quickfire Rapid series keyboards, I don't know why I didn't end up making a post. I'm typing on a blue switch Quickfire Rapid keyboard this very moment and I cannot find anything to criticize about it. TheMailMan may not appreciate the noise, but I love every click and every clack. They have the keyboards in almost every color, I hear they even have a Cherry MX Green in the works.

It lacks some of the gimmicks that other "gaming" keyboards have, but it's a solid contender if you can overlook the lack of features you'll probably never use. I've written two papers on this keyboard and I find that classwork has become less of a chore and more of a hobby.

My roommate whines about it to, I tell her to get lost. Nothing, and I mean nothing, can get in the way of me using this keyboard and bagging them A's (grades).

It sounds like you are walking into an office building 20 years ago. Sheesh, when you are playing I keep waiting to hear the deep voice of the man you are taking dictation from. Yes, I said man, as few women say things important enough to put on paper.

Hey Alex, you know my wife reads this forum?

She wants to talk to you now...

I gots me the BF3 razer keyboard, yeah it's loud, but unlike mailman, noone hears me typing through my mic.

Mechanical are great for your fingers, as with most you do not have to bottom out for a key press, but adjsting after using domed keyboasrds can take some time.

The whole reason we all hear mailman in TS is because he bottoms out the keys when he doesn't have to. I don't hear his keys actuating, I hear them bashing the bottom of the switch housing, which sounds about right for how mailman does things, too.

I have a Razer BlackWindow Ultimate and this is my only problem. I took my Logitech G110 to work to replace the POS I had there and it's still not good enough.

I'm very happy with my Razer Keyboard. Might have to convince the boss to buy me one for work.

on vent and TS, I use PTT so it doesnt bother other people.

Browns are quiet but only slightly less satisfying.

I have never understood the idea behond NKRO.

Could somone explain a situation, besides rage, that you would need to press more than 6 keys at once?
