Foxconn, a global innovator and channel manufacturer of electronics and computer components, announces the release of the quietest NanoPC AT-5250, which is about to keep your surroundings silence in the next upcoming months. The latest AT-5250 with Intel GMA 3650 HD boosts graphics and CPU processing capabilities while maintaining energy efficiency to create a palm-sized home theater PC capable of high-definition video playback and lightning-fast system responsiveness. The elegant design can go with the environment freely, meeting the high-end needs of sales centers and real sales presentation who are seeking for a powerful tower PC replacement, home theater or energy-efficient PC.



AT5250 connsumes around 15W idle and 24W under load, which is the equivalent of somewhere between an Ultrabook and a regular laptop and low enough to be passively cooled. What's distinctly unlaptop-like, though is the 190 x 135 x 38 mm form factor, which should sit discreetly on your desk, below your TV or on a VESA mount, and also the price, which is expected to be similar with mini-ATX budget barebones but with a pair of USB 3.0 ports,Gigabit LAN, a multilingual card reader and built-in 802.11n WiFi.

Why isnt the CPU specifically mentioned. Odd.

Too bad it has VGA/HDMI. Far better to have DVI-D with a VGA dongle, or dp with a HDMI dongle. This device has all the power to drive a hi-res screen.... but cant.

WAIT, there is a DVI version http://gdgt.com/foxconn/at-5250/

But sadly, this is an Atom D2550... just one short of useful.
