I just put this system together and it was my first time building a PC ever. I had a little difficulty figuring out where all the cables plugged into because the overall lack of diagrams or decent information provided with the products. However, I was able to figure it out after a little trial and error (5 hours worth). I still haven't tried to do any cable management really I was more concerned with getting everything connected initially so its not as pretty on the inside as I would like.

I would like to start palying some games on this thing. What are some games that would play well on my current system at 1080P with graphics at the max or as close to max as possible? I currently only have Rome Total War installed on this PC from my Amazon Digital Games Library. I haven't had time to see what it's like on it but it's an old title so I doubt it will show off what my rig can do.

Is it Important that I overclock my GPU/CPU, or should running things at stock settings be fine? How much more performance does OC'ing generate in regards to gaming and everyday usage like surfing the net and messing around on the desktop?

With a system like that you'll be able to max out any game out there at 1920x1080. Mostly ppl overclock because they want higher scores when running benchmarks and to test their compenents limits to get that 5-10% extra but with a kit like yours theres no need for overclocking.

Cool rig, you should be running any game without any problems with that setup however if you want the most "eye candy" games that is at the top of the graphics chain, you should definitely try the following:

Battlefield 3(for a 64 player MP game, its pretty impressive)
Crysis games
RAGE
Metro 2033
Total War Shogun
The Witcher 2

you can even put mods on some to enhance the graphics even more.

As for overclocking, don't do it yet. It is not a mandatory even if your gaming, with that rig you don't need to, However if things get a little choppy for you. like a new game came up and you can't play it at stable >30FPS 1080p, You can always do a little bit of OC-ing.

Thanks for the input everyone regarding the need to overclock or not. The name drops of some particular titles to look into for my new build helps as well. I can't wait to experience what I have been missing out on I have been gaming on consoles for over a decade now and have always wanted to make the leap to PC. I just hope it will be a few years before I have to upgrade any hardware after the $1,500 I pumped into this rig.
