Firstly, where are you from? Also, what do you need? I assume you have monitor, Win7 key etc, so we are only interested in things inside the case.

My gut feeling tells me to recommend the FX4300+6850, but without knowing what are the available shops and parts there is no concrete answers to this question.

Edit: Actually, we might be able to score one of the Phenom II x4/x6 which would be very good for recording.

The gpu and psu are abit of a let down in my opinion..Am i right in assuming this is a prebuilt rig...? If so, might I reccomend you buy the parts seperately. You will get better bang for your buck and you can get exactly what you want then putting more money into the areas of the machine that need it.
If you need help assembling the components of your machine after purchase just start a thread and there are lots of members on tpu (incl myself) that would be more than happy to help you out.

Cheers.

Hi,

Perhaps this one is the better choice, if you can't build the PC yourself. It's within the 700 USD budget.

iBUYPOWER Gamer EXTREME 589D3 Desktop PC:
AMD FX-Series FX-8120(3.1GHz)
8GB DDR3
1TB HDD Capacity
AMD Radeon HD 6850 1GB
Windows 7 Home Premium 64-Bit

It can play Battlefield 3, but not in the highest graphical settings and for video-encoding this PC will be very good thanks to the 8-core processor. Anyway, the HD 6850 videocard is a lot faster than the HD 6450 in the iBUYPOWER Gamer Power A520APU. How can they even call it a "Gamer Power" if it only has a HD 6450?

Do you have any components already or do you need to buy everything because you're asking for a lot if you need to buy everything for 1000 USD.
Not to say it can't be done, but the budget could be tight if you need everything.

the 3rd and the 4th is kinda hard since you are so tight on budget, if you have some hardware maybe you could add something that can match your needs

Are you kidding? with $1000, he can max anything out completely.

7950 - $300
case - $100
OS - $100
PSU - $80
Optical - $20
MOBO/CPU combo - $250 (AMD)
RAM - $70 - mid-range 8GB Corsair
HDD - 2TB - $80

This is battlefield Ultra 16x 8x AF/AA melting your face at 1920x1200.

I know, because I have a system that is inferior to the systems I just priced (AMD 945, cheap $40 ram, and 7950) and am maxing out everything.

Thank AMD for 7xxx series.

LMK if you are interested and ill link you everything. Everything is rated at 4 eggs or higher.

He needs a monitor. I hate to say it but He might get more if he would buy a prebuild Dell with a monitor and add a graphics card and more ram afterwords

I hate to say it but those dumbasses at newegg need to understand that a 500W maximum power supply on their prebuilts are ridiculous.

It said it needs to run 2 monitors, i figured he already had those.
2 monitors is minimum $300, and those are some crappy monitors.

I checked, unless he finds a coupon for Dell he is no better off. Which there is every couple of weeks. Maybe he has monitors. His post is confusing

Forget the two monitors on that budget

How about scrimping on the MB and CPU

For $1000 you should probably just build for best bang for buck. Might be some bumps along the way but we can help.

Microcenter has (I think still current) some pretty sweet combo deals right now dude so that is a plus that you are near one, for a CPU at least cuz they beat everyone else by a significant margin to get you in the store where you will likely buy more stuff as well. i7 3570K $169 plus $40 off a Z77 board I am pretty sure. Call your store and ask maybe...

He just going to have to look for deals and cut the budget on some items. It can be done.

Check these guys out

Change the GPU to a 660Ti and buy a monitor, and maybe a PSU

The biggest single expense is GPU and if you keep that around $300-$350 it's do-able. Also don't need such a monster $150+ PSU anymore and RAM is still cheap as dirt.
