939 question

just got my 939 amd 3000+ in... how the heck do i tell what cor it is? isnt there posibly 2 cores this thing could be? which one is better?

if you bought it new, it will undoubtedly be a venice core. if u want to poke around a bit download cpu-z or central brain identifier.

it wasnt new and its not in a computer yet. any way to tell off the numbers on the heatspreader?

seems to be only one withe the newcastle core, and 3 with the venice

if you have this one, then you have the only boxed newcastle.

so. whas a max safe voltage on air for thiese things? i know socket A stuff like the back of my hand but im a noob to 939... also whas normal an max temps on these things
