Raid 0 Vrap 500gb and 600gb? or N-Raid

Debating, raid 0'in together two Vrap based drives, one is the older 600GB model, and one is the newer 500GB model. The trade off being, losing ~90GBs of usable space in exchange for Doubling read/write speeds. I mostly run games from these drives, but with a little more space I'll be doing some Fraps based recording. I have an OS Sata III based Solid state, and a 4 SSD 128GB raid, so it will have plenty of locations to read and write from at top speed. Thoughts?

Why?

Purchase some 3TB drives and short stroke them if you are wanting performance, or leave them alone and benefit from huge storage.

Spend your money on RAM and SSD's if you want to improve performance. The egg has Vertex 240 GB Max IO drives for $129 after rebate right now that will smash the performance of hot running velociraptors.

I got a 500gb Vrap for 60 bucks when buying a server case for my home server. I have tons of storage in it. Pre-existing, I have a 60GB SSD running the OS, 4x128GB SSDs in Raid 0, 600Gb VRap, and a 3TB External drive. The deal was, I buy the case for 100 bucks, or I buy a combo of the case + 500GB Vrap for 160. So I bought the combo. It's setup in a Raid 0 at the moment.
