Nanoxia Announces the Deep Silence 2 PC Case
Following the success of our first PC case, the award-winning Nanoxia Deep Silence 1, we now present to you the next model, the Deep Silence 2: The Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 is a particularly spacious mid-tower which, due to its extraordinary depth, offers a huge amount of internal space for demanding hardware configurations. Of course, the Deep Silence 2 is fully soundproofed and prepared for water cooling systems.
A specially designed Mounting Bracket on the HDD cage can be used to mount 240 or 120 mm radiators, which can be equipped with up to four 120 mm fans. Thanks to a depth of 588 mm, collisions with motherboard components or power supply are virtually eliminated. ![]() Included are three Nanoxia Deep Silence 120 mm fans (approx. 1,300 RPM), which can be operated using the 2-channel fan controller. The Tower can accommodate E-ATX motherboards and up to seven hard drives - the maximum cooler height is 165 mm. The Nanoxia Deep Silence 2 will be available at the end of December 2012. Deep Silence 2 Specifications ● Form factor: E-ATX, ATX, M-ATX, Mini-ITX ● 5.25 inch drive bay external: 3 x ● 3.5 inch drive bay external: 1 x (optional) ● 3.5 inch drive bay internal: 7 x ● Case Fan (Front): 2 x 120 mm ● Case Fan (Rear): 1 x 120 mm ● Case Fan (Mounting Bracket): 2 x 120 mm (optional) ● Case Fan (Top): 2 x 120/140 mm (optional) ● Case Fan (Bottom): 1 x 120/140 mm (optional) ● Case Fan (Left Sidepanel): 1 x 120/140 mm (optional) ● Height: 468 mm ● Width: 207 mm ● Depth: 588 mm ● Material: 0.7 mm steel |

It's got some Fractal Define and Antec P280 in it also.

To make room for the dust filter of course, it would be less cost efficient to widen the case just for larger feet. Then again, Nanoxia could have probably redesigned the dust filter instead.

All I see is a slightly modded Fractal Design R3 with less vents on the front panel and a split half size door (antec sonata as someone else said). :/

So all they did was remove the cool looking air chimney, add in options to stick internal fans and a stamped out side grill for the side panel rather than a cut out.
Looks exactly like a fractal clone now. The Deep Silence 1 only came out recently right?

Wait, they got rid of the air chimney? One of the few things that set them apart?
Stepping backwards, Nanoxia... |

I don't like how they didn't paint the back of the exterior, and I think with those feet the PSU will suffocate on a carpeted floor. I prefer not to have top or side ventilation, but that's just personal preference. Other than that, seems good.

Personally i may purchase this case but i will have to read some reviews first. I also looked at the older case and the dimensions are different this one is deeper than the "older" model and it has a slightly different motherboard tray layout. Some of the changes are minor but the more i look the more i like it over the older case. Actually i prefer the way the fans are mounted on the front of the old case, the new case has them on one bracket rather than the 2 separate pieces that swing open.

It's not quite the same...Besides, don't you have to remove the fan covers from the inside? That's a hell of a lot less convenient.

I get that it is not as convenient, but there is no way to rid the chassis of convective air flow, just ways to cover the top of the "chimney". So even though the top is a little less convenient to use, they still technically keep the air chimney.

They could cut a jagged hole in the side of the Nonoxia Deep Silence 3 and technically create a window, but given what they've shown themselves to be capable of, I'd honestly expect a little more.
