Samsung 840 250GB $159 + FC3

SAMSUNG 840 Series MZ-7TD250BW 2.5" 250GB SATA III...

Newegg has the Samsung 840 250GB] for $158.39 w/ free EggSaver shipping (or add $2 for 3-day shipping) after code BLKFRIDAY50, and it also includes Far Cry 3. Quite a deal for someone who is in the ssd market.

Just came across this on [H]
Quote:
Both 830 and 840 are good drives. The 830 uses MLC nand and the 840 uses TLC nand, the 840 is a bit faster when comes to reading, but however is slower when talking about write speeds.

You can't go wrong with either, they will last you a very long time and give great performance. To be honest, go with which is cheaper. If you have the money, just get the 840 pro.
edit: thanks z77snapshot for fixing my link

Also, the 840 250GB on eBay for $140, no game.

I got mine for $160 with three day shipping. I was going to get FC3 anyways, so a 250gb SSD for a hundred bones is a pretty good deal!

Congrats and nice purchase, I'd say it's a quality deal. I mean the 830 256 ssds were barely touching the $160 recently so considering a free new game too, it's a good call. If I had the money, I'd probably jump too.

LMAO

It runs Toggle NAND memory. Which is the best memory in SSDs right now. 2nd best is Synchronous. Please, share why we should be avoiding these SSDs.

I would still get a Samsung 840 Pro, but if you need an SSD this is a good deal. Regardless if its TLC or MLC.

Just check other stores and found these deals at BHPhoto. Neither says game included, but free shipping and no tax to my knowledge.

Btw have you read the reviews on Newegg regarding this drive?
