Windows 7 Shuts down but PC keeps running?

Hi Guys, this is my 1st Post so I hope someone can help!

My PC keeps running after i have clicked on the Shutdown button, I'm running Windows 7, so i use the Power button on my case, it is worrying me now because now i am also getting Start up problems, not all the time but sometimes. When i do a Restart everything works as it should.

I was thinking of doing a clean install of Windows, i am waiting on delivery of a SSD so i will put my Windows into that.

Is there anyone out there with any ideas why this could be happening?

So your fans are still spinning..?And you can still use your dvd drive? if your cpu temps are high the fans may keep running to cool it..?maybe..?Check bios settings too

List all your parts ! and welcome to TPU

A clean install would be best
