Cheap X800 Liquid Cooling

Hi there, I am new to this site but would like advice on a liquid cooling system idea for my X800 Pro. I will use the

Will this kit work together?, by using the Coolermaster Aquagate as a GPU Cooler rather than using it as a CPU cooler? I’ve looked in the kit and the only thing I noticed is that the LCU pipes are 6.5MM and the X800 coolers pipes are 6MM. will these not just stretch a bit to fit?? Not has any experience with water cooling but since I did the 16pipes Bios flash my card runs at 85c when playing BF2 and other graphical games even with the Arctic 4 Cooling Silencer unit fitted. Now I know you can run at 85c, which is fine, but I have read that the card will last much longer if you get the temp down. As the kit I have chosen to make will only cost £93.74 (plus £? p+p) I think it would be worth it. Advice on this build would be very much appreciated.

I would advise you to get the following:
1)Swiftech Storm for CPU, Maze 4 for GPU
2)Thermochill PA120.3 w/yate loon fans
3)Laing DDC with Alphacool top
4)T line
5)7/16" tubing.

Use 1/2" barbs throughout.

Where can i get this stuff from?? im in the UK, The reason i wanted a kit is because im a noob to watercooling, Ive been a computer technicain for years but never came round to the idea,

I was like hmmmm water and computers, nope! But watercooling is getting easyer and cheaper these days im i fancy avin a go

You can get most of the stuff from Overclockers.co.uk, they have the Swiftech H20-220 Apex Ultra Watercooling Kit, which is not quite the stuff that I listed, but similar.

Hey mate, i had an x800 a while back, I used a graphics card peltier waterblock on it, worked a treat! you could always check it out.

It was a swiftech module I believe. Just add ram sinks. You probs wont get a better water cooling block out there

This is a link to the newer version of the pelt waterblock i used. It can b used with x1600 cards and above. judging from the performance graph you will get pretty low temperatures

tyred water cooling my x800xt pe(flashed pro vivo) turned out to get worse temps then my zalman heatpipe, so after months of trying to get it to work better i traded it to a buddy for some more computer parts, hes happy, i put a vf700 on the thing and the temps where 5c lower then with water(good maze gpu block to....)

also i advice using non conductive coolant, if the pipes leek/break you will have a fryed system if u use water, you will also had a fryed cpu/videocard if the pipes break tho so a kit with auto shutoff will be usefull

water/liquid can be kool/good but it can also be a total pain in the arse.
