Need some case modding advice, Fractal Design Define R4
I got this case for a client, and now he wants to punch holes in it. He says it has a neutral airflow, so there is a possibility of it sucking in dust in holes. So he wants to cut holes in it and add 200mm fans to make it positive. He wants an HTPC, he wants quiet, and he's very anal about dust. I told him to just leave it alone. Wrong?

Dust is going to get in there with positive or negative airflow. Somewhat regular maintenance (compressed air) will fix that problem. Cutting holes in the case may even make it louder.

That case is kind of meant to be quiet. He modding it is going to screw that up. I always thought that it was better to have neutal airflow. Same amount of air going in as there is going out. Tell him to get an air compressor and vacuum and clean it out ever 2 weeks. He sounds OCD.
