Sony Unveils Work-In-Progress 20.5-inch OLED Display

Sony is unveiling its latest in flat-panel display technologies, a 20.5-inch organic LED (OLED) display panel, at Radiological Society of North America meeting, held in Chicago, USA. The 20.5-inch monochrome panel is still work-in-progress, and being developed for high-resolution imaging systems. Its output resolution is 2560 x 2048 pixels (5:4 aspect ratio), with extremely high contrast ratio, and up to 500 cd/mē maximum brightness.

Hooray, i remember Sony developing a concept design/protoype of the OLED monitor a few years back. Good to see they are still at it.

That doesn't make any sense at all...it's designed for medical purpose not for gaming. And you don't want to cheap out in medical equipment...

As long as X-rays, RMN and US scans are monochrome, those monitors will be perfect for such a thing.
