Borderlands 2! With Far cry 3 in close second.

Dishonored needs to be up there.

You get games that surprise you now and again and this was one. Linear but with large explorable areas, multiple ways to go about the quest and a well thought out story with a rich background.

Oh, very pretty too. Go, on, put Dishonored up there.

Not played many this year, but once I started Far Cry 3, definitely couldn't stop going back to it.

Borderlands 2 has been great, I think it's a rare case where the 2nd release out does the initial release.

Far Cry 3 is a great game... but for Co-Op the game it is quite buggy in my experience and the weapons need some serious balancing.

Also, they need to get rid of these 'mini-games' where the plays can earn bonus XP. it f**king annoys me and its not what I want to see in what is supposed to be a 'serious game'

How can I take Far Cry 3 Seriously when they want me to race on quadbikes or these water jetski's things to gather bombs and place them at some sort of blockage so I can carry on with the campaign/story??

If i wanted to play something more arcade style Id go and play call of duty or a motherf**king pinball machine down at the pub.

take that shit out of the game. and balance the f**king weapons already, Im sick of putting an entire SMG clip or half an LMG mag into one enemy (I burst fire mind you so i know my shots are on target) and im seeing hit markers but the enemy just moonwalks through my bullets like im throwing him roses.

Shotguns - how is the M133 so immensely more powerful then the SPAS-12 when in BC2 and BF3 the Spas-12 was one of the sickest shottys you could have in the game??


Secondly they have to fix the enemy spawns. and balance some of the enemy types. specially the assholes that run upto you with a shotgun and club you with it or them little bitches with the machete that instantly turn you into chopped liver just by looking at you. Over powered as f**K... So i can take multiple hits from small arms fire but a dude with a shotgun or machete can take me out quicker then I have time to react.

I clear an area and im taking cover behind some rocks or whatever and some enemies spawn behind me and I die instantly....


If it werent for these things, the game would rate a lot lot higher.

Fifa and Diablo for GOTY yeah! Too bad there is no Dishonored. But anyway my vote goes to Far Cry 3. Awesome game.

What a bad year for games. I would say Borderlands 2 but the only other game I played on that list was Diablo 3 and it sucked.

I don't think I've actually played a 2012 game yet. If games didn't drop in price so precipitously then I would play them when they are released. Instead I buy games when they go on sale for under $5 so I'm usually a year behind.

Somewhere between Borderlands 2 and Diablo 3. I actually bothered to play them for more than 5 hours, which is an epic feat for a game.

Where is Dishonored?
Far Cry 3 had only graphics and a free world, nothing more.

I realize the only 2012 game that I have played on that list was Diablo III.

Others are Torchlight II and Planetside II. Planetside 2 should definitely be up there.

i didn't play a single game on that list. no wonder i got so much accomplished this year

not a vintage year for a gamer this really is it :|

tbh i think the best games this year have been some of the free to play ones like c+c tib alliance, gotham city imposters or ps2.
