EK Working on Water Block for ASRock's Z77 Extreme11 Motherboard

EK Water Blocks, Ljubljana based premium water cooling gear manufacturer, is working on a new water block for ASRock premium Z77 based motherboard Z77 Extreme11.

This water block will directly cool Intel Z77 PCH, PLX PEX series PCI-express lane splitter and the power regulation (VRM / MOSFETs) module. Base of the water block will be made of nickel plated electrolytic copper while the top will be made of quality satin finish acrylic or POM Acetal material. More details will be disclosed through our social media websites during the upcoming month.

The water block will be available for purchase through EK Webshop & Partner Reseller Network by the end of January 2013.

Nice to see Asrock getting some more WC love. Asrock has been making some phenomenal motherboards lately.

Is it even needed though? I have never been an extreme overclocker, because I am an overclocking noob, but the south bridge on my rig is always 43c even after a long test with prime at 4.5ghz.

That's what it says in the OP, but it doesn't mention the LSI RADI controller that sits under the same heatsink and the Z77 PCH.

I have one of these boards sitting here waiting for it's review. My 7950 should be back today, so hopefully I'll be back to posting mobo reviews soon. I've got a couple of Z77 boards with PLX PEX8747 here waiting still.

Teeny little fans may not necessarily be louder than the bigger ones like 120 mm for example, but they make a higher pitched sound which can be pretty annoying. Depending on the user's sensitivity and setup of course. Personally silly little fans aren't worth the risk to me, as I've never met one I could have a long term relationship with - to put it delicately.
