SSD's expected life when not used?

Does any one know if keeping an SSD powered by a sata power plug burns out the ssd? I have one in my pc running OS X that wont load unless i tell my boot loader to do so. Will it die by just the power (since i spent the most time in windows)?

The only thing that hurts an SSD for the most part is extensive writes and erases. That's why most setup guides for them tell you to turn off write intensive OS features, most of which aren't needed with an SSD anyway.
