Thermal paste to VGA
Good morning,
I wonder which of these is best thermal pastes: GELID GC-EXTREME ARCTIC MX-4 Or if you have any best recommended that these two |

At best, the difference will sit at around 1~3ºC and it will depend on how much paste you will apply between the surfaces.
I'm guessing the MX-4 will be chaper, because it doesn't have that plastic applicator. Depending on the application style used, a plastic card works fine too. |

The Gelid one is a "TPU Recomended" paste, so the choice is obvious.

For what it's worth, I'm using a AS3 like compound (OCZ Ultra II Premium Silver) on my Radeon 9500 Pro/Zalman heatpipe setup.

Only thing about that is it is slightly conductive.
TBH the difference is minimal between the high-end thermal compounds anyways, at lease for air cooling.

Using Ic diamond currently on my 5770 its pretty good. Hassle to apply.
My fav is arctic alumina. They have a new version of ceramiqe now I plan to try out. These 2 pastes need curing time though. |
