Steam offline mode and achievements

Hi all i have a small question

¿can i unlock achivements in games like Metro 2033, Spec Ops, Dishonored,

The Witcher 2 and Deus EX HR if i use steam oflline mode?

Yeah, I think achievements are built into the client, but of course the games need to be activated online first.

I had this issue, I recently finished a game in offline mode (Sleeping dogs) and to date it doesnt show the total hours played or achieved correctly...

IRRC you can earn achievements but not record game time (total hours of playing)

This is what I noticed too. Everything offline isn't timestamped. Achivements update when you go online after getting it (but they will never be timestamped).
