New Koolance Quick Disconnects
I've noticed on Koolance new products a new line of quick disconnects
http://koolance.com/index.php?route=...ath=60_142_144 ![]() ![]() What do you think guys? I think they are gorgeous, I was looking to buy some more VL3N but with this new release I think I'll upgrade. Once I started using QDCs I couldn't go back with normal fittings on certain loop spots cause they are a time saver, you can modify your loop without having to drain it

Swiftech is developing some that are almost half the length of the original koolance disconnects. Not sure if these are shorter than the originals, hard to tell with no perspective in these images.

The VLN3 I have are pretty big and bulky, would love to see some in black, perhaps from Swiftech

A long time back, I almost bought similar "no spill" QDs from them, but was concerned about head loss from the part that shuts flow when you disconnect, so I went with acetal type and hose clamps. Even though they say "no spill" there's still a small amount that will come out when you disconnect, so make sure to have a towel wrapped around. I've splashed coolant on memory sticks before, then had instability for a few months until I found the residue on the contacts and cleaned it, then they were fine.
They do come in handy when flushing the system and swapping out blocks

see that was something these metal ones dont do....there is just the tiniest bit of liquid in them when they were being disconnected in front of my eye's. There is some, but nothing a Q-tip couldn't absorb

Anyway I'm planning to put some threaded QDC on the major parts of my loop, they are too handy not to have, sure they can withdraw from the look of the system but I only use test benches so there is no problem for me

I too am going to check these out. Would make changing blocks and servicing the loop a bit easier.

They finally managed to arrive here in Europe thanks to Ybris.
I'm going to order quite few of them, I want to make the GPU blocks completely detachable without draining the loop. Gonna use the threaded ones to make the CPU block modular too. |
