bottleneck?

MSI R7770-PMD1GD5 and Deneb 955 C3 @ 3.2GHz

Think that CPU will bottleneck this card? I also have 8Gb DDR3-1.3GHz RAM if that helps. This card would be an upgrade from my current GTS 450 for £90 and it includes Far Cry 3, thoughts?

no that cpu will not bottleneck that card. You can go up to a HD 7870 before you start getting a cpu bottleneck

What do you recommend? I don't have much money and have 480w on my +12v rail. Screen resolution is 1920x1080x32@60Hz

Last gen stuff is getting pretty cheap. You can occasionally find a 6950 for $120-150 or equivalent card.

HD 7850, it consumes less than a GTS 450 and is 2 times more powerful.

The 7850 is a better choice anyways. I just was unsure how much money you wanted to spend.

There is NO measuring stick to a bottleneck. 7770 will be fine with your CPU

+1: This! Some games stress different parts of your PC than others. You can't make an assumption that a bottleneck for one is a bottleneck for all. It all comes down to testing because the only way you'll know if you're bottlenecking one component or another is if you test it and collect data. I don't think you'll bottleneck on most games but that really depends on what you play.

if this were me i'd go out and buy the best gpu i could afford... then upgrade the rest as and when i could afford it...

but your only going to be bottle necked by maybe 10fps max in most situations. if you run it through a benchmark it will tell you your score is low because those 10fps less every few seconds add up...

but actual gameplay is going to be best with the most powerful gpu you can get your hands on...
