I recently have been on here talking about a problem I had when I installed a GTX 670 and a new stick of ram at the same time and was experiencing in game system freezes. After many tests and such it was deduced that my ram was at fault. I put the original ram back in and found that the errors were still there, just fewer in occurance. My question is what ram do I need for my board? I have a couple new sticks and dont know how to get it to work right. The defaults in the bios for each are not working right. I have an Asus P8H61-M (Rev 3.0) Motherboard. And it says it supports 1333/1066 memory. I currently have installed: Gskill Ripjaws DDr3- 1600- Pc3 12800 2GBX2 CL9-9-9-24 1.5V
I also have available to me and not installed..
1 x G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Desktop Memory Model F3-10666CL9S-8GBXL
and..
1 x G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 14900) Desktop Memory Model F3-14900CL10S-8GBXL
What can I put into my system? What do i need to do to get my settings right? Is there any mixing and matching I can do to get more GB in there at once? These are my only options right now. Do I need something different?

Also The 8GB 1333 Cas laterncy is 9-9-9-24 and the 8GB 1866 is 10-11-10-30.

My PC Specs:
Sandy Bridge Intel Core I3-2105
Gigabyte Geforce GTX 670
Asus P8H61-M (Rev 3.0) Motherboard
850W PSU
Windows 8 64Bit

You can put any ram in your system and let them run at default without xmp profiles. They should work unless all of your ram is bad.

As a side note: do not mix/match different ram. It's a bad idea.

No idea. Could be memory or something else.

Use Memtest to check your memory

So you can not verify stability of your memory, and all of your ram crashes? Sounds like something else is wrong.

hardware is like an ecosystem. All of the parts must be playing nice for it to work. The first thing that you did was change out a GPU and ram, correct? Put in your old GPU and give it all a go again.

This didnt work. And I still cant get a combo that will work. Whats wrong with my system if its not the graphics card and not the memory?

you need a matching set of ram perhaps crucial brand they work on anything. your sticks are most likely defective.

But how is it that all three kits i have are not only new but also deffective? Could it be the motherboard? The original 2x2 GB set worked great, but I had decided that 8GB would better serve me for gaming. Once I tried to install the 8GB and noticed issues the 2X2 ceased working for me, and the other 8 gb is having similar issues. Would a new motherboard help?

Could it be that my Motherboard only has a pci 2.0 and i have a 3.0 card? Its not my heat because everything is always 50C at the heaviest load.

1. Don't double post.
2. No. 2.0 or 3.0 doesn't matter.

Did any of your kits ever work? I mean the older ones before the "upgrade"?
