Hey Wizz, is there any way you can add some compute benchmarks in your review. The only reason I'm considering buying a Titan is for it's potential performance in crunching. A comparison between Titan and AMD's HD7000 cards in folding and crunching would be great. We don't always buy video cards for gaming.

Would love to see F@H performance factored in, but their may not be any Titan support under the current client. Only one way to find out...

Thank you W1zzard, and good call too, it's more professional and ethical to hold on publishing your conclusion until you can post the numbers to back it up, dunno what the deal is with this "partial NDA" lift by nVidia, not allowing to post any numbers.
Anyways, it would seem that based on the price, this card will have a very specific niche market, I'm holding off until the 700 and real 8000 series are released, I don't personally see any reason to update my current rigs. Quote:
Otherwise, in "normal mode" the card reverses to GK104 DP performance (1/24 FP32 rate)

Yes, but at the cost of dropping to lower clock speeds and only 896 CUDA cores.

Wizz the 1920x1080 resolution is the actual most popular res, why you still show 1920x1200 pixel on your reviews ?
1920x1200 is fuckin square oldish res !! I hate square looking monitors !!Please add that 1080p resolution to your reviews so we can have more precise results. |

The card is immensely powerful, it's not made for playing at a low resolution such as 1080p. I'd personally like to see some 1440p or Surround resolutions. That's where the 6 GB VRAM will come into play.

4:3 is the square aspect ratio. Resolutions like 800x600.

I also fail to see the point of previews. Well I do see the point of them, but I just don't care about them.

I think that the review on tomshardware nailed it in the conclusion: "The Titan isn’t worth $600 more than a Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition." Ofc if money is not an issue then its all good...
