Hey Wizz, is there any way you can add some compute benchmarks in your review. The only reason I'm considering buying a Titan is for it's potential performance in crunching. A comparison between Titan and AMD's HD7000 cards in folding and crunching would be great. We don't always buy video cards for gaming.

we had folding numbers for a few months, nobody seemed interested. other than folding and crunching there are no gpu compute applications that anybody uses or should use

Thank you W1zzard, and good call too, it's more professional and ethical to hold on publishing your conclusion until you can post the numbers to back it up, dunno what the deal is with this "partial NDA" lift by nVidia, not allowing to post any numbers.

Anyways, it would seem that based on the price, this card will have a very specific niche market, I'm holding off until the 700 and real 8000 series are released, I don't personally see any reason to update my current rigs.

There seems to be an option in the 314 series drivers control panel to enable 1/3 FP32 rate, (Titan mode) by disabling the GPU boost, you can expect around 1.5 teraflops DP performance in this mode.

Otherwise, in "normal mode" the card reverses to GK104 DP performance (1/24 FP32 rate)

The card is immensely powerful, it's not made for playing at a low resolution such as 1080p. I'd personally like to see some 1440p or Surround resolutions. That's where the 6 GB VRAM will come into play.

Square? The difference is 16:10 vs. 16:9 1920x1200 vs. 1920x1080. I'll take the extra vertical space thank you very much.

Is a card good enough for 1920 x 1200? Then it's good enough for 1920 x 1080. I don't really see your problems.

I also fail to see the point of previews. Well I do see the point of them, but I just don't care about them.

I think that the review on tomshardware nailed it in the conclusion: "The Titan isn’t worth $600 more than a Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition." Ofc if money is not an issue then its all good...

yes i agreed but maybe the card hit the score more on 1920x1080 than 1920x1200.

Im asking just to get a more accurate result i use 1920x1080 and i will stick with it.
