Whos Curious To See If Sony Unveils The PS4 today? I want to know the official specs and not just rumors, and there is so many concept pics of the ps4 out there its impossible to know if any are real...

its currently as typing this 11:50AM EST and sony is to unveil something... at 6 PM EST

very true, if ps4 is to have a 7k series pitcairn chip like the rumors say then the ps4 will have amazing graphics capabilities since its over 20x more powerful then a GeForce 7800

I am interested to see what they do. I've been a customer for a long time, but I've slowly been leaning away from them. There's so many issues with consoles these days. Systems which would be better for backwards compatibility/support for old titles just don't. They rely too heavily on income from AAA titles which can be bad for YEARS. One of the reasons the PS3 has been a crappy experience for me. My PS3 is an old 60GB and I use it for PS2 titles.

I am, hopefully they are powerful enough for games to make the jump up. Big open worlds with proper physics.

Also if its true it will have 8 cores and some sort APU and gfx chip that can work together like SLI/crossfire this can only be a good thing

I really hope this thread doesn't turn into talk about spec rumors.. Please don't turn this into a thread about spec rumors. Most people here have a proper idea of what makes a good PC, but consoles operate on different constraints and use the technology in ways PCs simply will not. It's doubtful consoles are going to stop cutting corners in favor of being better computers.

I used to be into Gran Turismo back in the PSOne and PS2 days.

If they did a fresh reboot since most of those have been minor updates (DLC packs like).
Would be nice if what they showed for GT5 actually comes true now or better and not just a CGI demo.

Circuit De La Sarthe and The Green Monster updates and Online full grid support with mix classes and the 1995 LeMans overall winner. I love me some McLaren F1.

I would be interested in seeing what will be available for the PS4 or what the final deal will be with it. When it is released it should be less problematic and one should not have to worry much about whether or not the PS4 is the next big thing. Once people know they won't have to panic much about potential 'locked' games, 'not backwards compatible with PS3' or other stuff and then focus onto the more interesting things that will be available soon.

As for me I'm more interested in what PlayStation Home on the PS4 will be like as I like to freely navigate places from games which can't be freely explored in the actual games that those places are in and I also like the chess and general chatroom/ social features on that service too.

Only reason im excited for next gen consoles is for PC ports to look closer to how they should. And games will be a lot bigger too.
