Help me raise my OC CPU/RAM.

So considering that I haven't overclock since my Q6600, Yep I am a bit out of it. But I am working on it. I have tried to look up other people with the same mobo, But lets face it this is not the most popular motherboard(specs on left). I would like to see what I can get my cpu and RAM up to without being on the threshold of unsafe(for the cpu).

I have already raised my multiplier to 45 and ran intel burn test for 6 hours last night and it was stable. Temps were 60C. THAT IS ALL I DID. now if raise the multiplier to 46/47, it resets and reboots(bad OC).

Ram I have only put up to stock speeds and it is running fine.

The next step would obviously be raising the vcore, but how much do you suggest per reboot? Is there anything else I should consider adjusting. To my understanding I just bump until it wont boot and then make voltage adjustments until it is stable?

What is your voltage while running at 4.5ghz. "Stock" can mean different values depending on how much and if your mobo is automatically increasing voltage.

Post up a GPU-Z screenshot with your CPU under load.

As far as your RAM goes, you probably don't need to OC it at all... But try to find a stable setting for your CPU first before trying it.

Looks good! If you're stable at 4.5ghz it shouldn't take much to hit 4.6ghz. Just bump up the voltage by .005 and try for stability again. If it doesn't work, bump it up another .005.

Ok, I have gone back in and raised up the voltage way past my comfort level and it still wont boot past 46 multi.... I am a bit confused. :\

With any given CPU model, there is a wide disparity in overclocking headroom, due to impurities/imperfections in the die or substrate, so some 2500K's are good for 4.9+, others are maxed out at 4.7 or even 4.6, or so it seems - there are a lot of variables at work and a million different combinations of compatible hardware. This is also where high-end boards can help, with more power phases to run cooler and more stable at high overclocks. As I recall the TZ77XE3 was not considered to be a good overclocking board (the TZ77XE4 got all the attention and praise, for $10 more). There still may be many tweaks left to try - maybe you could find a guide to OCing the TZ77XE4 and try to duplicate the settings on your board since they should use the same or similar BIOS. Past 4.5, the gains may not be worth the risk involved; 4.5 is plenty fast for most uses anyway.
