Quake 4 Windows XP vs. Vista...I'll let the pictures explain the rest.
It looks like CRAP on Vista. And it lags too. Personally, I like worrying about that strogg with a hyperblaster before half-rendered textures, aliasing, crap graphics, and lag. You have to admit though, the Vista screenshot looks a little bit cooler from a game standpoint

Quake 4 (and probably Doom 3) is the only game it does this to, Windows Vista makes Halo look absolutely beautiful.

Think so? Well, I can tell you one that's better on many levels (its codebase was used for VISTA in fact, not that of 2000/XP):

vista is worthless until newer games that require directx 10 come out u dont need it and the license for vista can be used twice no more than that so if u get a new mobo or reformat more than twice u have to purchase a new key. DOWN WITH MICRO$OFT. everyone should just start to use linux lol

I'll check it out later, but keep in mind I was just running the .EXE from the XP install (too lazy to install in Vista).

Ahhh i got better Quake 4 shots lol 1600x1200 x4 aa x8 af ultra quality

Hell, turn the AA off, at 1600x1200, it isn't necessary. I run it 1600x1200 8XAF smooth as buttah with my rig.

How about backing up why Vista sucks and not ATI? Isn't it just a driverissue?
Also, x1800 person, thre are people on these forums with 56K connections, use thumbnails. |

Agreed - @ those resolutions ranges, jaggies on imagery borders fades completely: NO NEED TO TAX THE VIDCARD GPU patrolling them attempting to do work that is unnecessary!
