How to update firmware on a Samsung burner?

I just got a new burner to replace my old Lite-On which i had a problem with as it started burning DVDs really slowly. This new Samsung is better but still not as fast as my old Lite-On before it got messed up. I read reviews at egg which suggest to update the firmware and it will burn faster. My drive model is SH-S223Q with SB03 firmware, the only oner on Samsung site is ST00 which i assume is the latest. I never done it on a Samsung before, witn Lite-On drives i always used Lite-On flash tool but in this case i dont know what to use. Anyone know? Some instructions on how to would be nice as well.

My Plextor Drive uses PlexUtilities to update firmware. Does Samsung have anything similar?

Nevermind, im really dumb, the firmware file is an .exe! I just didnt bother unzipping it thinking it i would need a program to flash, lol

There is no Samsung update tool as far as i can tell, i think the .exe is it.

When i did mine it had a .bin file too which they have updated the drive 5 times BUT like yours they also added a update that does not contain a .bin file lol. Which i believe they have just updated the actual program only.

EDIT:
Unless they changed it since then. Fair long time ago i cannot remember if the last update was done by a single .exe or not but i know for sure the other 5 firmware updates had .bin files for.

Thanks!

Speaking of noise, my old Lite-On sometimes was as loud as a dish washer (no kidding!) this Samsung is just barely audible during the burning process.
