Intel releases Sonoma Notebook Chipset
Intel released the successor to the Centrino chipset. It is called Sonoma and is based on the i915 desktop chipset with features like:
Intel has kept the brand "Centrino" - Notebooks running 533 Mhz FSB use Sonoma, 400 FSB means the "old" Centrino. Also new is support for DDR2 and PCI-Express. A few sites already have reviews up: Hexus | Hardware Zone | Hardware Mag (de) | Adrians Rojak Pot |
