At newegg.com they are $30, which seems a bit expensive for an ATI cooler1, on the companys website the suggested retail price is $22
Newegg seems to overprice their cooling stuff

At least newegg have them in... UK stores only have the ATI 4 guess I'll just have to wait for the ATI 3...

They seem to be hovering around $30 at most major web retailers. The lowest I've seen is $24.95

Which one do you think would work with a powercolor 9550? Heres a shot of the card:

Nice reviews.
I'll add my impressions about the ATI Silencer 4.
I bought it to do a volt mod. I don'T see a reason for this äheatsink when you run a card at stock clocks since it'S not too loud and cool enough.
When i did a voltmod to 1.48 volts my stock HS wet up to 85 degrees wich was much too high for my liking. ATITool with fan control wasn't released back then.
I bought the ATI Silencer 4 and used AS5 and got a load temperature of 65 degrees or 59 @100% fanspeed at same clocks and voltage!!! I must add that i reaplied my stock HS and used AS5 so the 85 degrees weren't because of a bad mounted HS + thermalpad.
People report only small differences after the installation but it seems they either do it wrong or they compare at stck speeds where the stock HS is not too bad.

I can highly recommend the ATI Silencer 4 to overclockers and people who want to di a volt mod.

Is an ATI Silencer really worth the money? I think I'll get problems with installing. Is it difficult to install a Silencer? I have a Hercules 9700 Pro 128MB.

I can recommend the ATI Silencer for my X800Pro. The temps are around 20degC lower(!) and the Silencer is quieter at 100% than the stock at 30%.....at least to my ear....easy to install, although I had to move oneof the HD,s to a lower slot because of the size of the thing....but no probs!

Just got a NV5(rev2) and the heatsink is not even flat,2mm gap on the ram chips when fully tight and no reply from Arctic after 4 days and 2 emails.if this is what their products and service are like its very poor.Just found out its a faulty discontinued line but still sold in Australia.
