NVIDIA's nForce Professional: The Chips and Motherboards

The guys over at linuxhardware.org have put together an article about NVIDIA's brand new nForce4 Professional chipset and the upcoming motherboards featuring it:

Quote:
Monday, NVIDIA released their second generation core-logic “chipset” for the AMD Opteron platform. These new chips bring new technologies such as PCI-Express and 3Gb/s SATA to the Opteron processor. This release is very exciting to those into multi-processor systems and even to some that wouldn't typically be into such extreme computing power. We'll first be looking at the new NVIDIA nForce Professional 2200 MCP and 2050 chips and find out what we have to look forward to on new motherboards. Then we'll touch on what these advancements mean to workstations and servers. Finally, we'll take a look at the boards we've been able to dig up off of the Internet and what Linux support worries we have.

Take a look over here...
