just get an adapter to convert 3.5mm audio jack to rca components.

Doesnt really matter what amp... it will be 100x better than cheapo PC speakers.

The real trick is matching a nice pair of speakers for your PC. I can recommend Canton CD10 which I'm using on my Cyrus 2.

i got sony ss-f250v's, very nice w/ a 200watt home 12' sub, sound quality is excellent

Sounds like you've got some serious woof there. Although your speakers are fine, I would however suggest some smaller speakers, preferably "monitors" that you place on your desk either side of your monitor.

Hi-fi speakers often are not so good at close range... they are designed for a large separation distance, and for listening maybe 3 meters away. Not ideal on a PC when you sit 50cm or less from the speaker.

Take a look at the canton CD10, and use them with your sub. I guarantee it will sound a lot better, and your stereo positioning will improve.

they are about 3m apart so they sound fine, thanks for the recomendation
