YouTube clip leads to arrest in Canadian murder case

In a search for information relating to the murder case of Ryan Milner, Canadian authorities posted a clip of surveillance footage from the nightclub he was murdered just outside of onto YouTube. After over 34,000 views of the clip, police used the comments posted in response to the clip to help track down George Gallow for questioning. George Gallow then confessed to the murder. This is the first time that police have used YouTube as a tool for criminal investigation.

It's pretty clever of them to be honest, as technology evolves it's harder and harder for scum to get away with stuff, which is a benefit to all of us law obideing citizens!

does anyone think that technology will outgrow our abilities to adapt?

eg - Microsoft invents some new anti piracy crap that spreads worldwide and corrupts pirated copies of windows...does anyone think that one day humans wont be able to adapt any more to things like this? Like people will no longer be able to write code to overcome software copy protection, anti virus software will no longer be able to be defeated...and evading/blocking spyware will just become plain imposible
