DIAMOND Launches X1950PRO AGP Video Card

Diamond Multimedia is now shipping AGP versions of ATI Radeon X1950PRO graphics. This card uses the Radeon X1950 GPU and comes with 512MB GDDR3 memory. It has a core clock speed of 575MHz and a 1.38GHz memory speed. It supports Dual DVI (x2 Dual-link), HDTV, D-sub and VIVO. The AGP model of Viper X1950PRO supports DirectX 9, Shader Model 3.0, High Dynamic Range (HDR) with full post-processing capabilities and built-in native HDCP (High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection). It is Microsoft Windows Vista ready and supported by Catalyst Control Center. All Diamond video cards also carry the Diamond guarantee of quality assurance. The X1950PRO retails at $279 for PCI-E, and $299 for AGP.

Sorta expensive but its good to see more manufacturers screaming "AGP AIN'T DEAD YET!".

Who cares about Diamond? Powercolor released their agp card already. In fact they have it on newegg now.

Diamond is just another OEM .... just like Powercolor and are located in California and Belguim.. there's a couple of reviews here on TPU on Diamond cards ... by me of course
and yes there may be some interested in the fact that there is another card to chose from...

diamond used to be real big in Europe, back in the days of 3dfx there were 2 main card brands - Richeous orchid and the Diamond Monster voodoo 1 and 2 cards until both companies got purchased when 3dfx went greedy and made the voodoo 3 series.

Diamond use to be a major player in the video card and modems a while back. But for whatever reason disappeared out of the scene until now. You don't find (if any) diamond products in brick & mortar stores as in days past. I honestly thought they were out of business.
