Nah, see.. that's the real problem with things.. People can't read threads... It's hard to read the first op, not alone the pages that one might not have read due to it being A few pages deep.. since the last time they read it..

Yeah, all I saw was people crying like "Oh, I don't like it's style", "Oh my god. I hate it", "Oh, It looks bad" and so.

Looks like no one have visited vbulletin.com lately. Do I need to tell that the new CKE editor adds WYSIWYG for Chrome, FF and Safari? Oh, and even the last version fixes more than 250 bugs.

CKE Editor: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/entr...ed-by-CKEditor

v4.1.4 announcement: https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...e-for-download

Fixed bugs in 4.1.4: http://tracker.vbulletin.com/secure/...&version=10321

It is like Facebook. Whenever a new style comes, I see people crying for the first month. But after that, they all acccept. And whenever a new style comes, they say "Old sytle was better".

I tell you, I really miss that editor, if nothing else.

I quite like the new style as well.

This isnt a whats wrong so much as it is a suggestion.

Let the members change titles in the FS section. Leave permissions open for say a week. Then refresh/reopen permissions after with the thread open feature we have.

Sure beats making mods do this stuff.

I have an issue with your mods abusing their power and throwing out infractions for things that are just not infraction worthy. I go into the bfbc2 thread to get an idea of the single player campaign and someone disagrees with me, using profanity and an aggressive tone. i respond in a more level tone and I get an infraction? I'm tired of this.. You guys are way out of line and need to relax with these infractions..

Sorry, but that is a flat out lie. You threw out your own insults and were infracted for it. That's my official statement and there's nothing left for me to discuss.

Call it what you want. but just because you and I do not get along does not mean your allowed to throw me out infractions just because you want to.
If that's how it is then there really is something wrong with these forums..

if a moderator asks people to stop bickering and yet it continues then infractions will be handed out. i would have done the same thing.

I actually have never really seen this happen, not even when this thread was started and there was a bucketload of this talk. And if the other user behaved badly you can bet he/she got infractions too.

He was editing his post to say "no bickering" just as I posted my response, how on earth could I of seen that while making a response?
That was not in the original post..

Looks like you were caught in the middle. But if I was you, and speaking from experience as I went nuts a while ago in this place, just enjoy what they give, b/c if you complain, they take the lube away and the tool just gets bigger.
(and I didnt mean that in a negative light towards the staff, just wanted a funny analogy)

This is not a good way of handling things. Complaints are sometimes valid.

Also, why are people comparing moderating a forum with anal sex? I have a very vivid imagination so I just see Mussels rape Mailman over and over and that is a very disturbing image.

you can't even see the thread without scrolling 1/2 a page down from the reply page...

its ok if you use quick reply but that lags for me so i'm sure it could lag for him, and if The post was updated above his and either of those happened (using advanced editor/general lag) what he claims happened could of easily happened

Well it did happen. I'm not making it up..lol.. I was making my reply and right after it posted I got an infraction. Then I go back to look at that topic and I see Erocker had added "No bickering" to his original post.. If I had been warned, I would of stopped..My apologies..

Wrong place, wrong time. I don't think the infraction was large enough to ban you from the forums, so my suggestion is to put it behind you and move on. If it becomes a recurring problem, by all means bring it up again.

i just read that thread (and all deleted posts) relating to this, and erocker is right. your very first post started out with a bad tone, basically saying the MP was shit because of the players. you think posting that in a thread primarily of the MP players of this game would go down well?

things have calmed down after that, even your posts - so leave it at that. if we were power hungry mods you'd be banned, and not here discussing the issue.

I'll second that. I've had a couple of significant disagreements with mods on TPU and each time the issues were resolved to everyone's satisfaction.

Mods do give a damn about their members here. An example of that is being able to have threads like this one where people can be frank about how they feel and not get nailed by mods on power trips.

I've been a member of many forums over the last decade and I don't know of any other forum that's like this and is part of what makes TPU a compelling experience for me.
