agreed, but there is always an incidence/exception.

(edit) Just wonder why im not the only member that feels this way about being slap happy with infractions? we all wrong? Im done here.
because no one else is being affected by it. a mod just said, that you broke a rule and got warned - and then continued breaking the rule. ignoring the warning give is a good way to get banned.

yeah, and now you're picking a fight with a mod. you want to know why you got 2 infractions? you broke the rules. twice.

I want to applogise to Polaris573 here also because of my actions in thinking you were someone else. ALLEN
and that kind of post prevents more infractions.

nah a few of us are spam bots.

always, always people who get an infraction think they were right. as long as they get a PM explaining what rule they broke (and a link to the rule) there shouldnt really be any complaints.

The only trouble I've ever had with the mods was when I posted in a thread where you wern't supposed to post or else you got banned for an hour. I got banned for 24 hours. Them were some dark times

the only time I've ever had an issue with an infraction, on any board that I visit, was here; and only due to the fact that the infraction was for a post that wasn't really offensive - 3 days after the thread had been locked.

but, the infraction was reversed by a different mod within the hour, before I even had a chance to complain about it, which impressed me, and only recieved a warning to 'be more careful' with chain posts. This is the first site I've seen where mods will go over another's decission if it really wasn't called for.

all-in-all, I think the mods do a superb job here, and considering the amount of us stubborn users who hawk threads like vultures to a kill . . .

that right there is what needs to be attached to mod posts . . . a "mood status report" . . .

. . . it can sometimes be hard to tell otherwise

thats why he's sad... cause he misses TPU.

This thread has proven one point at least: people here arent afraid of mods. you dont get banned for having an opinion, or complaining (unlike many other forums)

Yeah we screw around and go off topic... but 95% of the time people listen when a mod tells us to stop.

The screwing around and going off-topic shouldn't happen in the first place. Mods shouldn't be the first line of defense. Members should behave on their own. Be preventative.

its the balance that works. you go too off topic and it annoys people, and the help people require doesnt get there.

Be too strict, and then people complain the place is ran by nazis and the mods are banhappy.

I'm comfortable with the balance here, are you?

maybe they need a section of the forum dedicated to 'no spam - on topic only'

Im very happy with the forums.
Maybe a multiple systems specs option... like that was suggested before as some people have more than 1. And the W/C and air cooled casemod sub gallery idea that intel igent come up with before but they are just suggested ideas to improve the forums, there is absolutely nothing wrong with TPU in my eyes. My 2p.

I just don't post as much and I'm try to let the mods mod...
I have had a hand in just about all of them being a mod and each one has a quality or personality that I thought fit... they are a really good bunch of guys and do try to do their best to keep the forums a place where we all can be happy... and yes it can be a job and is not always fun being the one to tell someone to stop being a arse... trust me you get enough bullshit back in pm's to choke a cow over a simple infraction... my favorite line ..." I don't give a shit " or " go f yourself " just because you asked someone not to flame or not to use a thousand smilies... after a while that shit gets old real fast... Also to the know it all's who think it is fun to debate the rules and or defend their postion like they own the place and believe they are entitled to something... ... all and all though I think we have a decent balance at this time and we do want your feed back and yes we can take the criticism, just be careful what you wish for... to TPU
