i expect you to do your job as mod plain and simple, if you are incapable of that then you should not be a mod.

stop making excuses and trying to pass the labour off onto other's.

my responsibillities as a member of this forum is to follow the rules (which i do 99% of the time) plain and simple, YOUR job as a moderator of this forum is to regulate/enforce the rule's.

if all the mod's worked together, helped eachother and did their job's as they are supposed to this thread would not exist end of story.

check your ego's at the door gentlemen.

i think your ego needs to be checked, and possibly amputated. The mods do NOT have a 'job' they are not paid. They have real jobs, they have real lifes and its totally impossible for them to monitor every single post on this forum. You have no right to demand or tell a mod what is or isnt their job, thats entirely up to w1zzard.

exactly what he says. I report every spam bot i see, and every troll post that i see. Why ? becuase whatever mod is online gets to see it, and make a decision if its a problem or not. its a lot easier for them to do their VOLUNTEER work if we give them a helping hand, instead of being an ass and giving them more work to do.

offer proof or evidence. Find one place that says the mods are paid and are doing a job. find me one shred of proof that anyone other than wizz tells them what to do.

This site has always had a basic policy: w1zz sets the rules, the admins enforce them. w1zzards system has been established (if something is wrong, report it to a mod and let them handle it). the system is not 'the mods will read and fix everything'

if you want something fixed yet refuse to even click the report post button, then i will truthfully state that you are 'whats wrong with this forum'

stop making assumption's and accusation's.

not once did i say they were paid for their duties and i know it is a pro-bono deal (volunteer)

a responsibillity is also considered a job.

ex : it is my responsibillity to take out the trash / it is my job to take out the trash

understand?

as i said numerous time's before : i say what i mean and i mean what i say. do not read too much into my word's because you will miss the point.

dbl entendres/word play/mind games is NOT my thing

like i said in my previous post (yes i editted it) let's get this thread back on topic.

How about enough bickering and a little more working together to improve TPU? We're all here to help eachother out, this community is positive and should stay that way...members should work with mods to help em' out imo, just because we don't have the bold name doesn't mean we can't make a difference. Sure this is a place to say what's wrong with the forum in your eyes there posters...but this problem isn't that big of a deal, and the bickering is rediculous...can't we all just get along?

Lol someones sucking up

I suppose the only thing ive noticed while being here is alot of ppl want to no why particular members were banned. I dont no why the facination as far as im concerned thats for the member in question and the mods to worry bout and noone else. Anytime im asked why someone was banned i always reply "lets not get into this" as its not mine or anyone other than the ppl in questions bussiness. .... my 2 cents worth.

as far as members having more than one ID, there is no way to resolve this issue because you cant ever be able to keep up with members who are intent on breaking the rules and creating multiple ID's, anyone wanting extra ID's so they can be unknown or even to flame or outright attack others simply cannot be stopped without ruining the freedom and open membership we enjoy.

you would literally have to restrict membership to invitation only basis to be sure its limited to one ID per person and that would ruin the site for all.

you can no more stop this activity than you can stop the sun from rising tomorrow.

there is nothing wrong with the job the mods are doing and the site has effective rules and is run well. if it aint broke don't try to fix it.

i completely understand the frustration of people who are victimized by immature and childish actions of others but what can you do?

burning the house down to stop crank phone calls is not a solution.

well if you want easy techno and club beats yeah, to find more darker beats you need to look to Holland (Rotterdam) and Germany. Need to visit Germany anyway, looks so good plus Ich Spraken au Deutsch!!

TBH I love TPU, it saved me from losing a full ride scholarship, taught me a bit about cars, and has provided tons of valuable input in general. I wouldn't take the forums any other way.

If it ain't broke then don't try to fix it!

Naaa it's not "glitchy"...it's over sensitive or under tolerant members on not so good days that make up most of the occasional not so good stuff.....I suppose that applies to the odd mod here and there as well, none of us get it right all the time and all of us have the odd bad day here and there mefinks.

Can only speak from personal experience, the only "issues" I have ever had have been with "users" and their attitude, not saying that I dont have an attitude as well.....and seeing as the "users" actually are the forum, it's not too surprising to think that "we" cause most of our own problems.....although you will note I did say "most"

As far as change goes, funnily enough, my whole job is to manage change so I would hope that change does not bother me too much!
