Antivirus Program

hi im useing AntiVir PE Classic atm

but i got a problem

every time i boot my pc up and click on the antivir guard and slect start update it takes ages to download the updates!

im talking about 5 to 10 mins!

my firewall is NOT blocking it it comes up with:

CONNECTING TO http://dl1.avgate.net.

and justs sits there for ages untill i close it and try it again.

any idears?

I used Antivir to before, but i must say AVG

Gives me page cant be displayed, so sounds like dodgy url, I would go to there website and see if they have a tech support area!

I thought avg were not going to give free antivirus anymore, I had it on my bro's machine then kept getting warnings that it would not update after start of jan, so I 'found' a copy of avg pro

System Specs

for a pc's sake, buy/get a gd antivirus, a champ like Nod32 (low on resources and the best), or Kaspersky Internet Security, these are the best ones w/ no problems
