Easy 4ghz Processor?
Just look at the voltage ratings for this 0,13µm pentium4 processor.. "SL793"
might be able to clock easily up to 4ghz. http://processorfinder.intel.com/scr...07&CorSpd=6135

If you can adequately cool the Prescott, then there is no reason not to buy one. They have SSE3, hidden 64-bit extensions, and they reach higher frequencies with less voltage. As long as you can keep one cool, you're golden.

Nothing wrong with Prescott cores. They are designed to run load temps near 70C. Get the right cooling for it, and they are the best for overclocking. The new Zalman cpu cooler seems to do the job adequately. Bringing some load temps down into the mid 50C's.

Holy SH1T! If my AMD were to run at 1.4v, it won't even hit 1.5GHz...Gotta love those prescotts.

there are AMD cpus which hit 2ghz @ 1.4V or even less Vcore...

My Athlon XP @ 2.4ghz @1.85vcore is running much cooler than the prescott of my mate. The Prescott sucks more power than a XP and generates more heat therefore. |

If it uses less volts and consumes just as many or more watts of power, then there will be more resistance and thus more heat given off.
