If you really want to test your cooling

Try running prime 95 and Ati tools testing your video card for Artfacts at the same time. My chip with prime 95 alone will hit 51c max but with both programs running will get near 58c. This is a true thermal test simulating playing a game like Obilvion and stressing your machine to the max. You might be surprised how dangerously hot your machine gets. To let you Know my cooling consists Of a Arctic Cooler 64 pro 4 x120mm fans and Antec Spot cooler. I also have a solid aluminum case and my computer is in my basement where it is always cool. I'm only saying this because I thought my cooling was adequate and it is just barely. Try running these tests and let me know how they come out and post your results.

this has probably been done before, but yeah great Idea I'll give it a shot when i get my new LBCIE Toledo X2 3800 in this week . I'm expecting clocks of 2.8-3.0ghz on water, so I'll give this a try. Unfortunatly I'm only running a passively cooled X1300 at the moment, but what the hell.

I was kinda shocked when I saw my temps jump from 48c-51c to 55c - 58c under full load. Some of these system could fry a chip if my system gets that hot.

Starting to wonder about my Arctic Cooler 64 pro .It might be time to get an Infinity if this keeps up. I added another 120mm fan to my case and it helped a little knocked 4 degrees of my max load temps.
