I say both. Next-gen is worse though, because every gen is next-gen, even last-gen ugh stupid gens. And well awesome....not sure it strikes so much awe.

hp commercial: (something like this since i don't remenber it quite well)

"it also has this top of the line 7300le that can play every game fast, and play movies at their full quality"

it was a desktop that had a pentium d, 1gb ddr, crappy mobo, "stupendous" gfx car above, and a 19' monitor for about 1,5k €

I think Americans misuse "awesome" just like British misuse "wicked". I agree, aweful. Much worse than "next-gen", which is a misnomer. Whereas use of awesome reflects lack of ability to use adjectives and comparatives.

I predict the next dreadful word to enter the internet channels as: verb, to awesome.

e.g. Those guys were awesomed by what they saw, or, The PC was awesomated with upgrades. And in chat channels, not PWND but AWSMD.
