Need advise getting Cooler for 8800GTS
I just got an EVGA GeForce (SC) 8800GTS. Mann, the temp. is 55C idle & 75C playin games. The case has 120mm front, 120mm back, 80mm side, & a system blower fan right below the gfx card. I did a few searches on the web and didn't find that much of a choice or available 3rd party cooler for the 8800 series. Would you help me find one? I only could afford <$60max. Thanks for helping, guys.

Thanks BoneFace for the info. I'll go and try out the ntune. Gotta admit, there isn't any cooler for the card out there, except for the TT one, which is for 8800GTX & 8800GTS (+additional addon purchase separately). Anyway, are those water cool kit, ones that stated: universal for ATI & NVIDIA cards, acctually fit this? I kinda doubt it..

There is the thermalright HR-03 ultra. its way huge however.
edit: 'universal' GPU coolers will FIT, however they will probably burn out your card as they only cool the GPU. Ram and voltage regulators on x1800/x19x0/8800gtx cards get quite hot, and most require additional cooling if you go water. |
