evga 7600GT question

Ok, this is kinda weird question, but it was in my head since i bought evga 7600 gt
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130062
That was the cheapest 7600gt at the time, but there is something strange.
Look at this evga 7600gt
As you can see, these two video cards have different layouts... and may be heat sink also.. but that is not important.
I want to know why would they sell 7600gt with 7600gs layout for almost the same price as 7600gs. Did they just oc it and named it gt? The temps are 58 idle and 70+ load (Celsius).
There almost no other GT with that layout.

I bought the same one as you and my temps were really high as well. If i were you i would just get a Zalman cooler.

The second card you posted is the KO version, its overclocked and has upgraded cooling.

The first day i got my 7600GT, the one i got for 109.99 for the deal. I took off the cooler and put OCZ Ultra +5 on it and it reduced temps like 4 degrees so now at idle i am at 50 and load 68

The stock cooler on the 7600GTs is really weak, the eVGA one is better, but still not that great. I would look into third party cooling if it worries you.

i know it looks kinda funny, but i saw some pretty good reviews on the net (i don't trust reviews on newegg)

I'm more of a fan of cooling that exhaust out the back of the case, but everyone has their preferences.

i understand why, my 7600 exhaust hot air right back to the case, the window of the case gets hot and of course it is not good, ill try to look for cooling that exhaust out the back of the case, just like you said
