Once something like that happened to me. Well it wasn't that bad. I once removed all the cables and switched some components in the case and later on i fixed it back. For some reason i had not fixed the power cable to the PSU properly. It was loose. So i switched on the PC, and went to the bathroom. And when i came out, the whole room was filled with smoke and there was a burning smell. I got a really big shock, i thought my PSU was dead. But later after i fixed back on properly and tight. Everything was back to normal.

I think that would have been worse then the PSU getting water in it

i dont see it in specs.

Do you mean a Q9100?

If thats the case, that lappy should deserve at least a 8 just for having a quadcore packed into a tiny little laptop.

Higher points would determine what your dedicated videocard was on that laptop.

LuLz.. im assuming my gpu sector is whats holding my score down?
Im saving for 485GTX's with the 512sp refreshes.

That being said... i should of shown my water...
http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...i/IMG_1687.jpg

So what would the score be with that water setup? :P
Its a tri-loop /w 5 x DDC and 4 radiators.

There was something wrong with your 4850 then. I had the record for 8800GT's on the older drivers, if you remember, and my 4850 out paced it easily. I scored P10000-ish on the 4850 without Physx, and my QX at only 3.6Ghz.

The best I could manage on the 8800 was around 7.7k w/Physx. The newer drivers would've likely gotten that into the 8.5's at best.

Psu's and water don't mix well at all the mobo's and CPU's also Gpu's stand a better chance.

oh speaking of leak testing. I test my loop using a 700w Silverstone that has had the voltage set to ~13v gets the air out of the lines slightly faster and IIRC the 655 is made for up to 14v so i should be fine.
I've leaked water on my 4870X2 a couple of times. Dried it off, and all was well.

Distilled water doesn't conduct electricity, only impurities in water conduct electricity. New, clean water shouldn't do any damage. It's when you have old contaminated water that you have to be careful.

As for leak testing, I do it for like 10 minutes, tops. lol.

In benches the 8800GT was slightly faster but in games it was about a tie.

as for the leak. It wasn't just distilled water i had it mixed with dye and coolant.I only leak test for about 10-15mins i mostly do it to get air out of the loop more then anything. If in the first like 5mins i don't see a leak i assume its good but still let it go longer anyways.
