If he's anything like me he doesn't display his overclock in his system specs... I suppose it is a useful thing to do if you plan to post in this thread though...

However benchmark stats should be allowed to speak for themselfs (for rating on gaming purposes) and if the rating should be by HTPC purposes then the specs alone should speak for themselves

7/10 for the lappy

Overclocker, I'd give your laptop a 6.5/10. Don't really know what to say about it besides that it's pretty average aside from the overclocking and 4650. You've got some nice displays though

caterpillar system: 7.2/10

definitely a solid system, but nothing in it is particularly awesome. no 8GB+ of ram, no high end GPU, no black edition CPU, small storage/screen/ 'average' PSU (yeah they work great on lower wattage systems, but i had severe issues with mine and crossfired 4870's)

6.5/10 1GB of slow ram kills it. That's just too slow and too little. Well below the bottleneck point.

System Specs

8/10 Sound card, better cpu, better monitor or better storage/hard drives for more.

And yeah, I held onto the 4870X2 because the HD5k series didn't impress me with their performance and ATI's drivers have been disappointing, and the GTX480 was not enough of an upgrade in performance for me to spend that kind of money on it. I decided I'm gonna wait to see what the 500 series NV and 6k series ATI's have to offer. The X2 still plays most everything not DX11 maxed.

Depends on speed and timings. Lights and heatspreaders never weigh into my judgements.

9.7/10.0 for you. The -0.3 is for the lack of DX11.

I sooooo wanna get a 980X....must resist.

9.8/10

And why don't you get the 980X? I owned a 975 earlier but i upgraded to 980X by trading the 975EE and paying about $75.
