Also, is the 3D Fuzzy Cube open when you open ATI Tool? If it is, that would definately raise temps.

anybody else has the same error i found a temporary fix when launching atitool repeatedly open by clicking the atitool icon in rapid succession quickly and then ati tool will open a few times close the error ones and any duplicate ok atitools and just leave the single atitool open

i can confirm the same as toddm on here that in crossfire you can't overclock the slave card just reverts to 2d clocks votage adjusting works on both cards a ok, and clocking on the mastercard also works fine ( but seems to revert to 2d clocks after running 3dmark etc) but voltage option stays ok ,so its not far off being useable for crossfire, thanks wizzard

but the temps are going up to 70c from 46c just sitting on the desktop, 67-70c is the temp I get when Im in game full load. Why would the temps shoot that high without processing any information how high will it go once I get into a game?? also I saw a few people who are running ATI tool with their temps at 52c or so.......I dont think it should be going so high.

Also no no 3D fuzzy cube

thanks for the suggestions!

Thanks

I am running atitool in vista x64. Overclocking my hd2900xt 3d clocks with amd gpu tool still due to only seeing 2d clocks in ati tool still.

Will be testing how high I can go on the core now .

Seems like 850/999 no voltage adjustments, 870/999 alot more voltage, think i need 8 pin pci-e cable?

Derzul;
Thank You (I think) for pointing out a procedure that you tried. I can understand that you might have been somewhat annoyed by my post, but WHY?, WHY would you feel it imperative to make sure that everyone else knew that you were so bothered by what I wrote!? The truth of the matter is, after I read the thread and initiated my post window, I was called away from my computer and my post window sat, unfinished on my screen for more than two hours. When I came back and completed my thought, you had made your post, which I was totally unaware of. I really do apologize for not going back to the thread re-reading it right to the end, making sure that someone had not answered my question during those two + hours before finishing up my question and posting it. I am so stupid. Thank you so much for pointing that out to me and everyone else who reads this thread, jeez!

Thanks very much for releasing this version - I am just so pleased to have a voltage option to play with. My only issue so far has been with the profiles as has been mentioned elsewhere. Oh and is there any way to set the scale of the monitoring?

System Specs

HD 2900XT

Profiles are not applying saved voltage settings
Fan speeds are not applied to save profiles

The trick for me (even though it makes no sense) is to:
-start your profile 1st
-go to voltage and apply your voltage profile
-go to fan section and hit the "apply" button (as the percentage you have it set is there. However, it's not tied into the profile when activiated).
-go back to voltage section to make sure that the voltage didn't change by hitting the "read" button
-leave it on voltage screen then start your game.

When I use this method I return back to desktop voltage, gpu OC and fan speeds remain unchanged (meaning its working) . However, for whatever reason, if I go to the main screen of ATI Tool (showing the small graph screen) voltage settings go back to default when I go back to desktop.

WIZ is working on it I am sure, just have to be patient until he get's the next build up and running for us to use.

Patience is a virtue.

Is there a workaround to OC the GPU and have higher voltage? If i set clocks, voltage jumps back to default. So it' impossible to get higher clockspeeds.

Well seems to work good , a few issues which is amazing considering the devlopment stage that it is in so hats off to the Wiz.The issues I have noticed have been brought up already except for Max Core & Mem which was to be expected. Also it seems like the core current is a little high , mine is reading a whopping 47.8A at load and man I took a double take after thoes readings but I think that is more hardware related(sensor) than anything else.I also noticed an issue with the monitoring , with monitoring on and 3d view it starts to act up a lot.I really need to dig into it a little so I'll post some detailed results if they have anything new to add.

Mines 33A and 81A with Oblivion maxed out @ 16x12.

Would be nice to see memory usage and other settings in game .

hey... i dont know if this is vista supported, and i cant test vista support, BUT...

you may have to install the driver using a differnt method for vista - if your still using Insdrv plugin for nsis.?

i dont know if your driver supports vista either (or parts of the operations).

anyways, i have tried to find some information and found that you can use the command line arguments for Driver Installation Tools 2.01 (DPInst.exe) from microsoft to do driver installs (use legacy argument to run unsigned drivers and it can run silent with a silent arguement). this will install drivers on vista - that is, IF the driver is vista supported.

(mabe you do this already? i havent looked in the install yet).

IE7 crash under Vista 32bit

Anyone else have IE7 bork while ATITool is running? App won't load and gives this error "MapFile1: Access is denied."

Minor inconvenience, otherwise ATITool is working great for my X1900XTX.

Little questions about voltage read on ATI tool.. i have direct crash when i update the voltage..

Is the voltage reads are for 2D or 3D mode (on voltage settings..) each time i increase a little bit the voltage, 3D06 crash.. it's not a problem of temp of course..

Someone know the stock 3D voltage of the GPu?

Hi,

my experience with latest betas 1 and 2 under Windows VISTA both 32bit and 64bit:

1st problem I have with applying memory frequency. Choosing +-100MHz delta from current settings is working nicely but anything above that results in screen corruption and system hang. The only way to reach my 820MHz(from Windows XPs) is to set first 700MHz, then 800MHz and finally 820MHz. PLS fix this or I'll get crazy

2nd problem is a bit tricky. Even if i finally set the frequencies to my 750/820 it doesn`t stay there after I close any 3D app. In fact the former problem with X1k frequency returning to the defaults is back. U have to reapply all settings (1. and 4. voltages too) after (or before) every 3D application and that's what makes it useless under Vista. That stupid ATi software frequency switch is to blame again and I'm tired of this so see ya ATi, NV is waiting, this was your last chance...

Good Luck Wizzard coz I'm affraid you will need it with the X1K series under Vista.

VDDC 1.2
MVDDC 2.2
MVDDQ 1.897

4th voltage not available as it's for R580's.

Using this version for the first time along with nVidia for the first time. I have an sli setup with sli enabled and ATItool is not recognizing the second card. Is this usually the case?
