http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813128374

the whole pci-express conforming confuses me. Can someone explain if it's 16-16-8? And it says that it's pci-e 1.0? I'm lost.

The two light blue PCI-E slots are X16 speed and the orange PCI-E slot is X8 speed, if you use the third PCI-E slot with the first two they all run at X8 speed. They are all PCI-E 2.0

2 x PCI Express x16 slots, running at x16 (PCIEX16_1/PCIEX16_2) (Note 3)
1 x PCI Express x8 slot, running at x8 (PCIEX8_1) (Note 4)
(The PCIEX16_1, PCIE16_2 and PCIEX8_1 slots support 2-Way/3-Way NVIDIA SLI/ATI CrossFireX technology and conform to PCI Express 2.0 standard.)

Actxually for SLI they would run 16x/8x/8x, the same way the Rampage 2 Extreme does, and for Crossfire, possibly 16x/16x/8x, but I'm not sure off hand.

impossible because it doesnt have the nforce 200 thus only has 32 lanes + southbridge. so, 16/16/8 no, 16/8/8, yes
