No More Booth Babes At E3 Expo
The newly renamed E3 Expo is getting a makeover, in an apparent attempt to refine it's image. Formerly known as the "Electronic Entertainment Expo", it's now going by the title "E3 Media & Business Summit". Gone are the booth babes, gone is the blasting techno music and $8 microwave cheese burgers. The former chaotic atmosphere is being replaced by luxury beach-side hotels, sushi restaurants and private conference rooms. Some have said in past years that the expo had become more of a spectacle of sorts, rather than a conference. This year the expo will be toned down, bereft of scantily clad women and flashy displays.

This is probably more of just a cost-saving measure than any real concern over their image, seeing as how they're now trying to attract a more business-like clientèle (whose positions of power mean that they're not any strangers of, and thus not affected as much by, business-class debauchery).

Next thing you know....E3 will have its own bouncers & No Jeans or Trainers Policy... which would mean if you want in you'd have to be more 'bling'd' out then Fidel Castro in a jumpsuit to get into the EXPO. hope you geeks got your wallets air bags & rubber bumpers because this ones going to hurt! ready then???? E3 was fun cuz of it's chaotic atmosphere... why did they do away with it!
That's like saying "Ok everyone, no shouting, no yelling, no pushing, and no fighting" at the Warped tour. |
