I'm intrigued enough that I intend to buy a tube and try it.

But what is this nonsense about logging in on Mvktech?

They are finally selling MX-2 on Newegg! I ordered a tube just before it went out of stock. It may be a few weeks before I use it, but when I do I'll post my results here. Will be applying it between a x2 5600+ and a Zalman 9700.

I've seen it come in and out of stock randomly, so watch this item and grab some if you live in the states. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186020

Yeah, it's been out but not at Newegg. Almost impossible to find a single tube anywhere. I'm just happy Newegg finally decided to list it.

Just a heads up, as I type this Newegg has MX-2 in stock!

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16835186020

It probably won't be for long so if you want it, now is the time.

The only nonmetallic high thermal conductive substance I know of is diamond. Does this product have diamond dust in it? Anyone have the details?

Regards,
jtleon

P.S. Its available on Ebay, for a little less $$

Congrats on the purchase. I should be getting my tube from UPS later today. When I get it, I'll let you know if the label has anything to say about it's chemical makeup. I strongly doubt it had diamond in it, but at this point, your guess is as good as mine. The Arctic Cooling website has nothing to say about what MX-2 is made of.

Alright. My tube came in, and while it looks nice (well packaged), it has nothing to say about it's makeup short of claiming to have no metal particles. They basically copied the info and the graph off their website and printed it on the MX-2 package. Disappointing.

Regardless, I'm happy I got a tube of the stuff and I'll post my results here when I get to test it in a few weeks. I'll be comparing it to AS5 so this should be interesting.

WTF is going on a MVKTech???

I go to look at the stinkin' review of this MX-2 product, and after clicking on page 2 I get this bogis BULL****!

You are not authorised to view this resource.

I mean what the H*ll is going on here...MVKTech can post a chart on the MX-2 package, but I da*n sure cannot see the full review on their public website?!?

Does this happen to anyone else here at TPU??

http://www.mvktech.net/content/view/3568/

I have been checking around at all the reviews comparing AS5 with MX2, and the results are not overwhelmingly for MX2 - rather there seems to be something strange afoot!!

I a have years of experience with AS, and AS5 has been truly amazing - every time I use it.

If MX-2 was a truly superior product to AS5, then why are the margins of improvement so tiny in so many reviews?!?

Regards,
jtleon
