Need to default Catalyst before ATITool?

I use catalyst to ove clock. thinking to use ati tool instead. do i need to default everything in catalyst or can i just go ahead and get ati tool and uninstall catalyst?

You cannot uninstall catalyst 'cause the driver is within it. You can uninstall the Catalyst suite and install only the Catalyst driver (it can be downloaded from the ATI official website) and use ATITOOL.

But if you only wanna quit the OC from Catalyst (thinking you use Ati's Overdrive feature), just return the clocks to stock, apply the changes and freely use AtiTool......if something odd happens disable the Catalyst suite from windows startup and try again.
