Well my mate said that his laptop could beat my temporary rig at gaming, is it true?
This are his specs: 1 gig dimm unknown brand (single stick) Intel Core Duo T2250 Yonah Specification: Intel(R) CPU T2080 @ 1.73Ghz integrated gfx from s3, agp and a sis mobo, everest ulti classifies it as unknown 80gig sata drive my temp rig specs are on the left side. Thanks

no not at all, if he had a 7900go or similar he would due to the fact he has a c2d, but sis int, graphics are rubbish and wont play many/any decent dx9 games at all

His Cpu would rape yours, it's dual core and a core duo, core duo is ~5-10% slower than a c2d. However because you have better graphics your computer would game better. Now I have a comparison for all you guys (sorry for the thread jacking but it seems like you've been answered) would a 7100 gs with 128mb onboard or a x1400 mobility with 128mb on board. I figured cpu wouldn't matter too much since we both have pretty slow gfx cards.

Thanks mate, as for his question I dunno how onboards work, usually the have shared RAM from the system RAM, but I don't know newer ones, do they have their own memory or shared too? Does GForce go have that ?

Yeah, integrated graphics always draw from the system memory. Geforce go....it depends on the card, like higher end one's don't use it, but some low end use onboard+system memory (even some desktops). My card does the onboard+system memory.

not to mention most laptop harddrives are slower than desktops. the only thing his has going for him is the core duo cpu. so while he has the cpu to brag about, you can brag about actually being able to play games
