Good to see reviews like this... tho wish you had let all of them "Break-in" for the temp results. Also, doing a few trials for each would lend some credibility of results, not all applications are equal.

I never see any TIM compared to my personal favorite; Shin-Etsu X23-7783D.
What's up with that? |

For those that are interested, the TX-2 compound will arrive in US on September 10th.
Users can buy it from Newegg and Xoxide.

probably because some reviews dont have the shin etsu.
great review as always t_ski. While I agree with Sasqui that could take some time for a complete review. initial results are comparable and its a good buy.

t_ski: What cooler did you use? Reason why I'm asking is what it says in features:
"Help the low-pressure clip design of cooler to achieve better cooling performance." I have Zalman 9500 and it's quite low pressure and it would be interesting to know would it help my temps, if I'd use TX-2 instead of current AS5? I wouldn't be surprised if stock A64 cooler has 5 times the pressure of my cooler. Stock intel has probably more as well as it warps mobo so much when applied. I'm also thinking I might have to put something under that clip to add more pressure to the heatsink and maybe lose degree or 2. Once AS5 is fresh it's easy to turn the heatsink on top of the processor, now that it's cured for months it's very hard to get off, but pressure is still missing. Sorry for being a bit off topic

If your "AS5" is white, its probably AS Ceramique

OK, I'll stick to AS5 then and go for a better cooler if things get too hot, lower OC is not and option :P (well I'm already @ 2666, dropped multi to 8).

did Artic Cooling's MX-1 or MX-2 go MIA?
should have been included in the test for comparison
